Steven Seglin is Of Counsel to the firm.  His primary areas of practice are Natural Resources, Water Law, Public Power, and Telecommunications. While representing clients in these areas, Steve has counseled them on all aspects of the law applicable to these areas of practice.  He also practices in the areas of Regulatory Licensing, Environmental Law and Condemnation.  For over 10 years he represented the developer of the Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Site in its efforts to obtain a license from the State of Nebraska to store low-level radioactive waste.  He represented the developer along with lawyers for the Central Interstate Low Level Radioactive Waste Commission and generators of low-level waste in a federal court lawsuit against the State of Nebraska for bad faith in denying the developer a license and recovered a judgment in excess of $150 million.  In 1980, Steve along with former Nebraska Governor Robert Crosby represented a natural resources district seeking transbasin diversion (diverting surface water from one river basin to another) where the Nebraska Supreme Court reversed a 1936 ruling prohibiting transbasin diversion.
 
Steve is a 1963 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Business Administration. He graduated from the College of Law of the University of Nebraska in 1966 with a Juris Doctorate Degree.  He served on the Nebraska Law Review where he published two articles and also on the Moot Court Board.  He entered the U.S. Army after law school as a Staff Judge Advocate and was awarded a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.
 
Steve is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Nebraska including the Nebraska Supreme Court, the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Military Appeals.
 
Steve is a Fellow in the Nebraska State Bar Foundation and on its Board of Directors.  He  presently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors.  He has been active in the Nebraska Bar Association, having served in the House of Delegates and several bar committees.  He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Bar Association
